The Cattle Creek trail on Basalt Mountain is clear of trees and there were a lot of them. Lost track of how many we cut at around 40. Probably more like 140. Huge day. Trail is still very rugged. Overgrown as usual so long sleeves recommended if things dry out in the upper zones.
Traveling in and out of the 2018 burn zone, Cattle Creek is a unique and challenging “old school and hard core” adventure. Ride it before the big storms close it for the season.
