Welcome to RFMBA’s 2025 Roaring Fork Ride-A-Thon!
Saturday June 7th – Saturday June 21st – Go ride your bike!
Saturday June 21st, 4pm – After Party at Snowmass Base Village, on opening day of the Snowmass Bike Park, featuring funky groovy live music by Typical Ghost! Come Celebrate with us!
Our aim is to engage our friends & members to raise funds in a ride-centric way. Focused around “pledges-per-mile”, this event encourages Participating Mountain Bikers to (1) Register, (2) Set a Mileage Goal & minimum Personal Pledge of $50, and (3) to Gather small pledges & donations from your family and friends. These $0.10 to $1+ amounts will be multiplied by the number of miles that each participant rides in a 15-day period, on their favorite trails throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, and beyond!
Register to Ride today! Set your mileage goal, set your personal pledge ($50 minimum is kindly requested), and share your Participant Page with friends and family to gain more small pledges and donations (we hope each Participating rider will bring in $100+ total each!) before & during the big 15-day riding window. Circle back by 4pm on Saturday June 21st to report your total miles ridden!
The funds raised will be directed to our ongoing efforts to build & maintain the mountain bike trail networks throughout the valley. You will be helping to fund our ongoing trail maintenance programs, including approved reroutes to the Innie and Outie trails.
Pledges (and flat donations) are being until Monday June 23rd at 11:59pm. Miles ridden from Saturday, June 7th through June 21st will be eligible for pledges, and for prizes at our After Party on 6/21 at Snowmass Base Village. Reporting of your total mileage during these eligible dates will be based on the honor-system.
Aside from the official 15 days when you’ll be counting your ride miles, there will be no formal gatherings out on the trails. Instead, Participant Riders will bike from home or from wherever they normally start their rides, whenever they please. Plan out your solo rides, and gather a few friends for a longer ride on some of the longest days of the year! Sunset should be close to 8:40pm on the summer solstice (which is on 6/20/25)! Stay tuned as we may announce informal departure times from popular trailheads to add to the party vibe out on the trails.
At 4pm on June 21st, at Snowmass Base Village, we will be hosting a free After Party, free for all attendees. Plan your 6/21 ride on your favorite Snowmass area trails, and wrap up your day at our big community gathering! All Ride-A-Thon Participants will be welcomed with a free drink at Base Camp. In between Typical Ghosts’ funky and groovy sets, we will be recapping everyone’s efforts, celebrating our top riders & fundraisers, presenting special prizes, and will be sure to share the latest good news on RFMBA’s trail projects & programs.
Given our focus this year is raising funds for the Crown / Prince Creek area trail system, please note: All or part of this operation is conducted on Public Lands under special permit from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.
