Linking the Lakota Lookout loop with Prendergast, Medaris and the lower flow trails of Maverick and Goose, conditions permitting, this ride is open year round.
This route mostly consists of intermediate trails. However there is a very spicy double black trail called Oso's Trail that descends off Medaris Ridge that is very steep and challenging. The double black Oso's Trail trail can be avoided by turning back onto the Medaris Ridge Trail and navigating back down Salty Dalty and west on Medaris Ditch and on to the Colorow Flow trails via the Alder Park trails. Do not ride the West Medaris trail (the hiking only trail that drops to the west of the ridge.)

This route starts and end at the Lakota Canyon restaurant but can be started and finished just about anywhere in New Castle.
