Join the crew from Ragged Mountain Sports & our friends at Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers on Tuesday evenings , July 7 and July 21 from 4-8 pm to build the new Undie trail in the Prince Creek network. RFMBA does not require pre-registration for this event, but you are welcome to pre-register and sign a waiver in advance at
RFOV’s website.
Please bring your own food, water. Face coverings (buffs, masks, neckerchiefs) are mandatory for when you are within 6′ of other volunteers and crew leaders. Personal work/bike gloves are also mandatory for using shared trail tools. We’ll supply the tools and guidance, you bring the muscle and the moxie!
As plenty of Upper Undie trail was built by during June (thank you to 150++ volunteers, Rocky Mt. Youth Corp members & RFMBA’s own seasonal trail crew!), project access options have changed:
PROJECT ACCESS OPTIONS:
- Just like the June events: Ride your bike to the “Upper Undie” project site up via Prince Creek lower area trails and then continue up BLM Rd. 8320. Ride back down to your car at Prince Creek Trailhead or all the way back to Carbondale via Father of Ginormous!
- Drive up to the Divide Trailhead at top of Prince Creek & West Sopris Creek Roads. Check in at RFOV’s tent & table at this location, and then bike or drive the 2.4+ miles up BLM Rd. 8320 (other end of the same road in option 1). Driving this road requires a high clearance 4WD vehicle; low clearance AWD vehicles are not recommended.
- For those with limited time or capability to access this remote project, RFOV will be leading volunteers on maintenance of the Dinkle Link Trail that is accessed from the Divide Trailhead.
To follow correct CDC protocols, please bring your own:
– gloves
– face covering
– food and water.
