Join RFMBA & City of Aspen’s Recreation Department for our second annual Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day on Saturday June 10th! We’ll be gathering at Buttermilk Ski Area’s parking lot before starting the ride. Registration is at 10am. Small groups with adult lead and tail riders will head out between 10:30am and 12pm. Free pizza at 12:30pm! Event ends at about 1pm.
The ride will be an out-and-back style with a flat mile of new machine built, bike-optimized singletrack to start the ride – the Butterline was built by the City in the Fall of 2015. For kids who are ready to do some climbing, we’ll be continuing up the Airline Trail. While most will turn around and enjoy the decent once we meet the Cozyline Trail, older kids can continue further onto the Sky Mountain Park trail system.
We’ll need plenty of Adult Ride Guides / Parents to join us for this event. All participants should plan on bringing their own bike and helmet, but we may be able to coordinate a limited number bikes and helmets for those who pre-register.
To volunteer as an Adult Ride Guide, or to help sponsor this event with swag, treats, food & drink, or bike equipment, Pre-Register viaemail firstname.lastname@example.org or call Mike at 970-948-3486.
