Please join RFMBA on Tuesday evening, May 7, 2019 to help clean up parts of South Canyon. This event will also be a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new trail system with remarks and thanks from the City of Glenwood Springs and RFMBA.
Show up anytime after 4 pm at the Archery Range parking lot located at the bottom of the South Canyon road. Access the area from I-70, Exit 111, one exit west of West Glenwood Springs. Bring work gloves and water. RFMBA will provide pizza and refreshments at dusk.
This is a great opportunity to take care of our public lands and to celebrate the new trail system. See you there!
Schedule:
4 – 5:30pm: CLEAN UP – Trailhead parking area, area on either side of the CO River bridge, and area near the start of trail system.
5:30pm – 5:45pm: Remarks & Thanks from Glenwood Springs and RFMBA.
5:45pm – 7:45pm: CLEAN UP work continues, with more focus up canyon, along the main road and any trouble spots.
7:45pm: pizza dinner and drinks for volunteers.
