New Castle Trails – IMBA Trail Building School – May 7, 2016

May 7, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Join us for the famous IMBA Trail Care Crew’s first visit to New Castle!  Jordan and Lani are traveling the country for two years, spreading knowledge and know-how on the art and science of great mountain bike trails.

Big thanks to both RFMBA’s New Castle Trails Committee & Town of New Castle for coordinating and making this event possible!

The International Mountain Bicycling Association’s Trail Care Crew will lead its Trail Building School, which teaches IMBA’s philosophies and trains local volunteers and land managers how to build and maintain sustainable, fun singletrack. The school involves three hours in the classroom followed by about four hours in the field doing hands-on trail work and field instruction.

The TCC’s Trail Building School will start at 9am, classroom to be located at the New Castle Community Center.   Lunch will be provided at 12pm and then we’ll reconvene on the trail at 1pm (shuttles and carpool to be organized that day) to put some newly learned skills to work on our local trails.

Organized by New Castle Trails & Roaring Fork Mountain Bike Association with Partner Support from Town of New Castle & Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers.

Free Lunch for attendees!
