Roaring Fork Mountain Bike Association (RFMBA)
Dedicated to creating and sustaining the best possible mountain bike trail system in the Roaring Fork Valley.
Help build this new trail segment that will extend the Lollipop Trail, connecting it to the Iowa Shaft Trail and the Hunter Creek Valley floor. This new trail segment will create more loop possibilities for a broader range of trail users on the Smuggler Mountain side of the valley. The project will also help to naturally separate users, by giving mountain bikers less reason to join hikers on some of the old double track sections of the Hunter Creek Cutoff.
This is one of many 2015 projects we’re working on with our partner Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers. RFOV’s evening projects make it easy for even the busiest people to volunteer, just show up at the project site anytime after 4:00 pm and work until dusk. Your labor will be rewarded with dinner at the end of the day! Register with RFOV to find out parking, shuttle van, and hike-to or bike-to meet up locations.
This will be one of your opportunities to enter our 2015 Bike Giveaway! Brought to you by our friends and sponsors at Ute City Cycles, every time you sign an RFOV volunteer waiver for a trail project, you’ll get an additional chance to win a Yeti 575 Enduro worth $3,500 in your size! One chance for each evening project, and two chances for each full day project. We’re partial to mountain bikes, but if your lucky name is drawn at the end of the season in September, you can choose a similar value road bike. The more you volunteer the more chances to win!
Join us and you’ll hear updates from RFMBA about the Hummingbird Traverse trail that will also be under construction during June!
