Town of Snowmass Village is bringing IMBA Trails Solutions to town for Advanced Trail Building School!
This training is ideal for both full time land managers AND volunteers who want to take their trail skills and knowledge to the next level. The classroom and field sessions will take place in Snowmass on June 16th & 17th 2017. The training will cover the following topics:
Cost: $250 per person (Scholarships available for those wishing to volunteer 5 evenings or days on TOSV trails).
Friday June 16th, 2017 (Town Hall)

1. Class Room presentation.
2. Trail Assessment. Walk through predetermined trail sections in need of maintenance or realignment.
Saturday June 17th , 2017 (Trail Location TBD)
1.Practical Field Training. Hands on training session providing practical experience while discussing characteristics of sustainable trails, trail building styles and techniques, water management tool and field safety and volunteer management.
LODGING:
Camping available at USFS Campgrounds on Independence Pass, dispersed camping on USFS land (please contact USFS regarding Dispersed Camping Rules and Regulation). Please ask about potential discounted rates at various Snowmass Condos.
