Roaring Fork Mountain Bike Association (RFMBA)
Dedicated to creating and sustaining the best possible mountain bike trail system in the Roaring Fork Valley.
Join the crew from Aloha Mountain Cyclery in Carbondale on the 2nd Sundays this summer in July, and August. RFMBA is coordinating with AMC and the BLM to conduct Group Work days with our partner Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers. For July, we’ll be working to maintain and improve the Skull Bucket trail.
Meet at 9:30am at the U-shaped parking area on Prince Creek Rd. near where Skull Bucket meets the road, and look for our tent and registration table. This is also the location where Skill Saw (Lower Creekside) meets up with the Creekside trail. Give yourself some extra time to drive up the road to this location, or if riding up from Carbondale, or the traditional Prince Creek trailhead… give yourself an extra 30 minutes to get here.
Wear clothes and shoes that work well for hiking, and bring water and lunch/snack. We’ll shuttle closer to the project area, and finish the day by 2pm with free pizza and drinks courtesy of Aloha Mt. Cyclery.
We’ll be working to maintain and improve the much loved trails in the Prince Creek area as well as higher up on the Crown’s BLM lands. Email info@rfmba.org to register early for this project!
Remember, all of your volunteer trail efforts earn you another chance to win a brand new Yeti ASR Enduro mountain bike! This prize is valued at $3,700 and brought to you thanks to our friends at Ute City Cycles!
