Carbondale Historical Society, in collaboration with Roaring Fork Mountain Bike Association, is excited to present “Trail Tales – The History of Carbondale Singletrack” at the Third Street Center in Carbondale on Sunday, March 9th at 6:30pm. Carbondale has had a funky & cool bike vibe for decades now and a lot of that is thanks to the countless hours of volunteer trail work done by individuals like Todd Fugate, and his long-time riding buddies, Steve Avery and Randy Johnson. Join them at The Third Street Center to hear about the whimsical and engaging history of Carbondale’s vast and diverse network of singletrack. Learn about the evolution of Red Hill, the Lorax Trail, and the namesakes behind the maze of trails at Prince Creek and Crown Mountain. Told through the perspective of long-time avid mountain bikers, this talk will also highlight the importance of the volunteerism needed to maintain trails for all users.
This is a free event.
