Meet at 9 am at Alder Park in New Castle.
Join the New Castle Climate & Environment Commission and RFOV for maintenance on the Old Section of the Colorow Trail. Tasks include clearing litter and building trail drains.
Please bring water, snacks/lunch, gloves, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and gear for all weather. Optional trail gear swap included!
Many of the trails in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond exist within the ancestral territory of the Uncompahgre Tribe of the Ute Nation or Nuche. We honor the inherent stewardship that native people have for the land, waters, and air in which all trail users continue to have the privilege to revel in. We strive to learn from the Ute tradition of living in harmony with the environment, and take action to sustain it for generations to come.
