East Bull Pen or North Bull Pen Parking Lot for Prince Creek?

January 9, 2018

Pitkin County welcomes public input on new Prince Creek Parking Lot.

Parking options are changing on Prince Creek Road.  Pitkin County Open Space and Trails is looking at making a new parking lot approximately 1.5 miles before the end of the pavement at a property that’s being referred to as “The Bull Pen”The Pitkin County Open Space and Trails Board  chose two options – East Bull Pen and North Bull Pen – to present to the public for feedback. These options are depicted below.

Also below is an analysis of the two options. Interested citizens are invited to tell us what they think about the two alternatives in the comment link below. The deadline is Jan. 31st.

The Roaring Fork Mountain Bike Association’s choice the East Bull Pen option because it allows for more future parking spaces to be built and is less expensive.

We encourage mountain bikers to weigh in on either option to let Pitkin County know that they desire a parking lot for the trail Prince Creek Trail system.
