A massive push from Trail Agents, the RFMBA Trail Crew and USFS, has opened it up for riders to escape to the highcountry for big adventure rides!
Escape the heat with these freshly cleared “Old School and Hardcore” MTB Adventure Rides:
Cattle Creek Loop on Basalt Mountain
Coal Basin Lake Ridge Lakes Loop on Thompson Divide.
Rocky Fork Trail between Larkspur and Reudi Resevoir.
As of this week, the deadfall is clear. But there are plenty more trees that are most likely planning on falling soon. So get out there now.
*While deadfall is cut out, there is still a lot of overgrowth that makes for an extra challenge to these trails. We recommend long sleeve jerseys for arm protection from branches and a GPS device for route finding.
